July 2010
J.A.D. Mercantile, a discount book and gift store in South Berwick, Maine, just opened. I created a website that shows off the character of the store and highlighted the types of products they carry. Because they focus on deeply-discounted books, their inventory changes often, so the emphasis was on their discounts and the quality of the merchandise, rather than showing the specific titles and products offered. I also created their Facebook page that supports the site.

Relayer Benefits Group, an employee benefits and individual insurance company in Portsmouth, NH needed a redesign of their website. The old one depended on specific browser-specific functions, so unless you used a specific version of Internet Explorer, even the basic navigation didn't work! We came up with a totally new look and revised almost all of the content. In the process, we greatly enhanced the SEO (search engine optimization) characteristics of the site. (I approach SEO as a basic part of website design, not as a separate project).
